As we write this, a pop up shop is in full swing at the Refinery Hotel , 63 West 38th Street , in NYC. Hosted by Fashion PR firm Avant Premiere, lots of goodies from Emerging designers are on display. Our featured Clothing include a rack of Velvet skirts, (soon to be featured in our shop) plus samples of our silk charmeuse party skirts, creme classic blouses and some godet tops. Also the pocket skirts are out on debut in the city, which I predict to be a future hit. Interest in the petticoat polka dot party skirt has been high resulting in a few happy customers. If you are in New york, pop in in the next few days... the pop up shop will be open till Wednesday 14th October 2015.
In June 2015, More Than Just Figleaves had it's first Fashion Showcase!
The Showcase was to celebrate the Modern Modest Woman. The event was hosted by modest Fashion Blogger The Demureist. It was held at Umbrella Arts Gallery in NYC.
Models stood statuesque as guests walked by inspecting the new debut of timeless classic clothing with a modern twist , all in line with modesty and fashion.
The gallery walls were lined with a gallery of photographs of timeless wedding dresses ironically on display during our event .They complemented the timeless tone of our exhibit which spoke timeless classics, werability and usability of the pieces.
The guests were treated to a wonderful spread of figs, cheese , and a fruity mixed drink with a touch of lavender prepared by The Demureist.
Models wore the latest MTJF styles and interacted with the crowd.
Guests purchased MTJF samples, mingled, sipped their drinks, chatted, and even took selfies!

In Feburary 2014, we had the pleasure of working with Ohr Naava. Ohr Naava a trendy digs at the back of the event space sported a trendy brick wall that provided us a backdrop for the new spring dresses that came in floral, polka dot and green poppy . Fresh off the press pocket skirts and the classic collection of blouses and pencil andgodet skirts were on show too.
We were so pleased with the response we got buyers and those who came to view the new line.
More Than Just FIgleaves provided a refreshing alternative to the beaten track way of dressing. And this show did open up some eyes to new skirt lengths options and some quirky funky fabrics.
